Beneath the Haze: Draft 3 is Finished!

The third draft of Beneath the Haze, my latest fantasy novel, is finished! At this point I’ve sent it to my two favorite beta readers: my wife and my mother. I know they’ll give me all kinds of unbiased feedback because they have no emotional connection to the author whatsoever. In other news, I’m open to others reading this as well. As long as you know it’s still not finished and are willing to give…

Novel Update, I Made a Board Game, and Other Excuses

Welp, it’s certainly been a while since I last updated my blog here. Here’s what’s been going on:   Beneath the Haze I am currently halfway through the first round of edits on my novel, Beneath the Haze. This stage of edits focuses on plot holes and inconsistencies. I’ll most likely be adding half a dozen (or more) new chapters into the work in order to fill said plot holes and make everything flow better.…

Character Interview: Sharme (Beneath the Haze)

I say coming along, because I’m not quite…

NaNoWriMo is in the Books!

Sorry for no update last week. Between writing and Thanksgiving and everything else that was going on, there just wasn’t time. But, I’m please to announce that, as of last week, I officially won NaNoWriMo! My total word count is 50,673. I’ll have one more day of writing yet this month before my official tally is recorded, but I’m beyond excited for how far I’ve come with it, and for where it’s going. You’re going…

Introducing My New Novel

After finishing the last book in my Dwarf Mountain series last year, I was excited to move away from the young adult genre I usually wrote and get to work on an adult fantasy novel. Don’t get me wrong, I loved writing YA fantasy, but what I wanted to do next was beyond the scope of YA.     I have been planning my new novel for nearly a year, thinking about it constantly, jotting…
