After finishing the first draft of Beneath the Haze in December and taking a decent break between that draft and draft number two, I am pleased to announce that as of last night, draft two is officially done! So what does that mean?
Basically, I’m going to take another break from editing Beneath the Haze, but I’m not going to completely forget about it. At this point, I’m going to read it through with my wife (who is amazing at finding errors and much-needed improvements) and take notes of things that can be made better. Those notes will be used for the third draft, which will (hopefully) be the last one before I get to querying.
In the interim, I’ll be sending this draft out to beta readers and critique partners to take a whack at. I’m excited to see what the outside world thinks of this story (my writing group say they like it, so I guess that’s a start).
